Cricket Tournament There were 90 teams from on campus participating - playing past 2AM. Cricket is serious business. I started a cricket team to compete but realized we didn’t know how to play and we’d have to compete within two days….. No one cares about the Olympics here - India only has three athletes on its team. It also seems strange to follow winter sports when it’s 90 degrees outside. In the meantime cricket is being followed with zeal. In the city this week groups of men crowded around store fronts attempting to get a glimpse of a tiny TV inside broadcasting a presumably important match, cheering intermittently.
